Salisbury, NC - Senior, Xavier Procter was named the best of the best by earning the 2022 CIAA Golf Player of the Year. Procter, a native of Shelby, NC came on strong throughout the season to lead the Blue Bears to a overwhelming victory in the CIAA Golf Championship that was held in Dunn, NC at the Chicora Country Club. He shot a two round 141. It was enough to tie for the overall lowest margin, however, he had to participate in a playoff with his teammate and roommate Joel Basalaine. Basalaine outlasted Proctor in the two round post tournament event to earn the Lowest Margin Award for the championship tournament.
