SALISBURY, N.C- The Shaw University women's volleyball team fought valiantly on the road Friday evening but came up just short of forcing a decisive fifth set in a 3-1 setback to Catawba College inside Goodman Arena. The Lady Bears dropped the match by scores of 18-25, 23-25, 25-23, and 24-26 in front of 211 fans. The result moves Shaw to 1-2 overall on the season, while Catawba improves to 3-2.
