The University of the Virgin Islands Women’s Basketball Team set several season-highs in a 91-54 rout over host Trinity Baptist College Friday evening. The Buccaneers outscored the Eagles 47-18 in the second half en route to a season-high 91 points, breaking the previous mark of 79. The 35 field goals made were also a season-high, along with UVI shooting 46 percent (35-of-76) from the field. The Buccaneers tied their season-high with 14 steals while turning the ball over just 10 times, a season-low for UVI. Kaeani Berry and Melea Lovelace also got involved in setting new marks. Berry’s game-high 20 points was a season-high for her and Lovelace logged her first double-double of the season with 17 points and 10 rebounds.
