UNC Asheville Leads 2025 Women's Golf Championship After First Round

FRIPP ISLAND, S.C. (www.BigSouthSports.com) – UNC Asheville finished with a 15-over 303 and holds a one-shot lead after the first round of the 2025 Big South Women's Golf Championship on Sunday. It is the first time that Asheville -- which began sponsoring the sport in 2017 -- has held the top spot on the Conference Championship leaderboard following any round of the tournament.  High Point is one stroke behind the Bulldogs at 304 (+16), while Charleston Southern sits in third-place at 307 (+19).  The Championship is being contested at the Ocean Creek Golf Course (par 72, 6,032 yards) on Fripp Island, S.C.
