THREE AMBASSADORS FINISH IN DOUBLE FIGURES IN EXHIBITION GAME AGAINST JACKSONVILL STATE

JACKSONVILLE, Ala. – Oakwood University had three players finish in double figures, but Jacksonville State scored early and often enroute to an easy 117-63 victory Monday night at Pete Matthews Coliseum.   The Gamecocks improved to 1-0 with the win. Oakwood remained 0-4 as the game served as an exhibition for the Ambassadors.   Jordan Hill led Oakwood with 18 points on 7-of-16 shooting, including 4-of-5 from the free throw line. He also had five rebounds and a steal.   Jordan Bell finished with 12 points and four rebounds, while Chase Jackson scored 10 points on 3-of-5 shooting, including a 3-pointer, and was 3-of-4 from the charity stripe.   The Ambassadors shot 33.3 percent (22-of-66) from the field, including 14.8 percent (4-of-27) from 3-point range, and 62.5 percent (15-of-24) from the free throw line.   Mostapha El Moutaouakkil led JSU with 27 and 10 rebounds.   Toby Nnadozie and Jamar Franklin scored 14 points each, while Marcus Fitzgerald Jr. and JoCoby Hill finished with 12 and 11, respectively.   The Gamecocks shot 49.4 percent (39-of-79) from the field, including 32.5 percent (13-of-40) from beyond the arc, and 76.5 percent (26-of-34) from the charity stripe.   Oakwood is back in action tonight at Tennessee Southern.   Follow the Ambassadors Visit the official home of Oakwood University athletics at Oakwood University - Official Athletics Website.
