Spartanburg, SC. – The Saint Augustine's women's basketball team survived on the road with a big win against the Converse University Valkyries 71-55. The Lady Falcons started off hot going on an 11-2 run out the gate. The Lady Valkyries were able to battle back to cut the lead to four at the half 25-21. The game went back-and-forth all throughout the third quarter and into the fourth. CU was able to take the lead with 6:59 to go on a 3-pointer by Colbie Perry. Lauren Banks fired back with a 3-pointer of her own to re-take the lead. With 5:39 remaining in the fourth, Christionna Faison fired a dagger 3-pointer that ignited a 12-1 run. Taniyah Greene slammed the door shut scoring 11 of the Lady Falcons' final 16 points to end on a 12-3 run.
