Recap courtesy of St. Thomas Aquinas College Sports Information ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, FL – The St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Tennis team's historic 2024-2025 Season, came to a conclusion on Tuesday morning, as the #16-seeded Spartans fell to top-seeded Valdosta State University, 4-0, in the NCAA Division II Sweet 16 round at Sanlando Park. BOX SCORE THE ROCKHILL REPORT "I am happy the team was able to experience playing with the top ranked team in the country," stated Head Coach Dan Rockhill. "Valdosta makes it look easy and forces opponents to earn every point. I think our guys tried to play a bit too well at times and that caused us to make more unforced errors throughout the match." "I am very proud of our team," commented Rockhill. "Tennis is a year-round sport and I ask them to do difficult things from the first day until the last. I appreciate all that they have done for me and this program. Having advanced to the national site is an amazing accomplishment and today’s result in no way diminishes that. They probably deserve a lot more appreciation than they receive." "We are fortunate to return the bulk of our roster, which is not the norm these days in college athletics," said Rockill. "I hope STAC tennis continues to grow and our players continue along their path to becoming the best version of themselves. I also wish our departing players the best of luck in their future endeavors. I will certainly miss seeing and coaching them but I hope that they have learned some things of value."
