Softball splits with conference-leading Fairmont State

INSTITUTE, W.Va. – West Virginia State softball (15-28, 9-21 MEC) split a doubleheader with Fairmont State (31-19, 21-9 MEC) on Thursday afternoon at Lady Jackets Field. The Yellow Jackets won the first game convincingly, 9-3, before dropping the second game, 9-0.
