Softball Drops Tough Eight Inning Loss to Ivy League Champs

AUSTIN, TX --The Tennessee State Tigers fell 6-5 in an eight-inning matchup with the Ivy League champion Princeton Tigers on Sunday morning.  Sophomore Caitlyn Manus (7-7) came out of the bullpen for Tennessee State (9-10) and took the loss. The right-hander pitched well, going 5.2 innings, giving up two runs, zero earned, on five hits, allowing no walks, and striking out two. Freshman Holly Ayala started the game and gave up four earned runs before Manus took over.
