Raleigh, NC. – The Saint Augustine's men's basketball team lost its eighth straight CIAA contest to the Shaw University Bears in another tough heartbreaker. The Falcons trailed throughout the game, but in front of a sold-out packed home crowd, managed to fight its way back to take the lead with just over a minute in the game. Falcons senior guard, Jaylen Richard had 18 of his game-high 25 points in the second half and came up huge when the Falcons needed a spark. Interestingly enough, the atmosphere in Emery changed dramatically with the Falcons down 44-38 with 11:58 remaining in the game when head coach, Chucky Brown inserted sparingly used senior forward, Resean White in the game. Upon his entry, the student section was sent into a frenzy, and just moments later, White scored his first, and only points of the game. However, his presence ignited the crowd, as well as the team, and the Falcons went on a quick 6-1 run to only be down one.
