WATERBURY, Conn. – Malik Brooks, a graduate student on the Roberts Wesleyan University men's basketball team, has been selected to the 2024-25 NCAA Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) All-East Region Second Team. Brooks, a guard from Lockport, N.Y., ranked second in the East Coast Conference in scoring (21.9 points per game) and field-goal percentage (.536) and seventh in free-throw percentage (.745) while earning All-ECC First Team honors for the second straight season. Brooks also averaged 5.0 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.4 steals while being selected ECC Player of the Week three times. He was also named National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Division I Player of the Week on Jan. 20. Brooks appeared in 76 games over three seasons at Roberts, averaging 17.6 points per game. He finished his Roberts career with 1,324 points as a Redhawk. Sports Information Directors from NCAA Division II East Region schools and conferences selected the two All-Region teams. The process concludes with All-American selections announced later this month. This is the third year the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association has sponsored the NCAA Division II Men's Basketball All-Region and All-American teams.
