For the first time in conference history, Roberts Wesleyan University has won the prestigious East Coast Conference Commissioner’s Cup, it was announced on Monday afternoon. The Redhawks accumulated 84.75 points to earn the honor that is emblematic of the league’s top program across all of the conference’s championship sports. After finishing either second or third in the last eight Commissioner’s Cup standings, Roberts Wesleyan takes home its very first Commissioner’s Cup victory. The Redhawks tied for a conference-high four ECC Championships, winning the men’s and women’s cross country, men’s outdoor track and field, and women’s lacrosse titles, and earned a runner-up finish in men’s indoor track and field. Roberts Wesleyan won regular season championships in women’s soccer and women’s lacrosse and competed in postseason play in 13 of the 15 ECC sports they sponsor.
