NEW YORK | Expectations are high for Florida A&M track and field, and if results from its season-opening meet are any evidence, the program will excel. The HBCU Showcase (Jan. 14) marked the Rattlers' first under their newly hired Director of Track and Field / Cross Country Garfield Ellenwood II; they captured three event wins alongside 11 'Top 3' finishes. Collectively, FAMU's women's team placed third overall in the 16-team field behind North Carolina A&T and Norfolk State, while the men finished fourth.
