NEW ORLEANS – Oakwood University middle hitter Kamaria Murray was named the HBCU Athletic Conference's Attacker of the Week, league officials announced Monday. Murray, a 5-foot-7 sophomore from Murfreesboro, Tenn., was honored for her play the week of September 22-28. She averaged 3.88 kills per set and recorded 31 in two matches last week. Murray recorded a double-double with 19 kills and 22 digs in a four-set victory over NCAA Division II foe LeMoyne-Owen College last Monday. She followed up that effort with 12 kills to secure a four-set win over Stillman College in an HBCUAC match. It was the second time Murray has been named HBCUAC Attacker of the Week this season.
