NEW ORLEANS – Oakwood University center/forward Saniya Keys was named the HBCU Athletic Conference's Offensive Player of the Week, league officials announced Wednesday. Keys was honored for her performances during the week of Dec. 7. A 6-0 sophomore from Cottonwood, Keys averaged 22.5 points and 11.5 rebounds per game in leading the Ambassadors to a pair of key wins. She started the week with 19 points and five rebounds in an 83-73 win over Wilberforce University on Thursday in an HBCUAC game. Keys followed up that effort with 26 points and 18 rebounds in a 79-74 victory over Washington Adventist University on Sunday. Keys shot 58 percent (18-of-31) from the field and had two assists, two steals and a block.
