NEW ORLEANS – Oakwood University small forward Jordan Hill was named the HBCU Athletic Conference's Men's Basketball Newcomer of the Week for the week ending Nov. 2 league officials announced today. A 6-foot-6 sophomore from Philadelphia, Miss., Hill averaged 15.5 points, had four steals, two blocks and one assist for the Ambassadors last week. He had 16 points on 6-of-9 shooting, including a 3-pointer in a loss to Dalton State. Hill finished with 15 points on 5-of-9 shooting in a loss to Washington Adventist Saturday night. All total, Hill shot 61 percent (11-of-18) from the field, 50 percent (1-of-2) from 3-point range, and 66 percent (8-of-12) from the free throw line.
