OAKWOOD'S BELL NAMED ALL-HBCUAC PRESEASON FIRST TEAM

NEW ORLEANS – Oakwood University forward Jordan Bell was named to the All-HBCU Athletic Conference's Preseason First Team, league officials announced Wednesday.   Bell, a 6-foot-6 senior from Mobile, finished seventh in the league in scoring last season, averaging 15.3 points per game. He also finished ninth in the league in rebounding, averaging 6.7 per game.   Bell was joined on the first team by Southern University at New Orleans forward Jamal Gibson, who was named the Preseason Player of the Year, Philander Smith's Raymond Reece, Tougaloo's Antonio Patterson and Talladega's Shaun Walker.   The second team included Paul Quinn's Tayvion Fisher, Tougaloo's Willie Anderson, Stillman's Joshua Price, a former Sparkman High School standout, Paul Quinn's Isiah McCallum and Stillman's Jordan Fordyuce.   Oakwood was picked to finish last in the 2025-2026 Predicted Order of Finish.   Stillman, last year's co-regular season champions, was picked to win the league, followed by Tougaloo, Philander Smith, Dillard, Talladega, SUNO, Huston-Tillotson, Wilberforce, Wiley, Fisk, Paul Quinn, Voorhees, Rust, Virgin Islands and Oakwood.   2025-2026 PREDICTED ORDER OF FINISH  (First-Place votes in parentheses) Stillman 206 (5) Tougaloo 197 (4) Philander Smith 185 (2) Dillard 175 (1) Talladega 149 (2) SUNO 143 (1) Huston-Tillotson 124 Wilberforce 113 Wiley 109 Fisk 92 Paul Quinn 84 Voorhees 64 Rust 61 Virgin Islands 55 Oakwood 43                                                     See more details on HBCUAC Preseason teams and rankings at HBCU Athletic Conference unveils 2025 Men's Basketball Preseason All-HBCUAC Teams, Rankings - HBCU Athletic Conference.
