NEW ORLEANS – Oakwood University forward Jordan Bell was named to the All-HBCU Athletic Conference's Preseason First Team, league officials announced Wednesday. Bell, a 6-foot-6 senior from Mobile, finished seventh in the league in scoring last season, averaging 15.3 points per game. He also finished ninth in the league in rebounding, averaging 6.7 per game. Bell was joined on the first team by Southern University at New Orleans forward Jamal Gibson, who was named the Preseason Player of the Year, Philander Smith's Raymond Reece, Tougaloo's Antonio Patterson and Talladega's Shaun Walker. The second team included Paul Quinn's Tayvion Fisher, Tougaloo's Willie Anderson, Stillman's Joshua Price, a former Sparkman High School standout, Paul Quinn's Isiah McCallum and Stillman's Jordan Fordyuce. Oakwood was picked to finish last in the 2025-2026 Predicted Order of Finish.
