SHREVEPORT, La. – Oakwood University assistant men's soccer coach Augustus Abrahams was named the HBCU Athletic Conference's Assistant Coach of the Year, league officials announced earlier this week. Abrahams has been an assistant with the Ambassadors for --- years. Oakwood men's soccer coach Stephen Kabah had nothing but praise for Abrahams after learning the news. "I am very proud and happy for Coach Abrahams," Kabah said. "He is an experienced coach, highly tactical, and thorough in his training sessions. "His coaching background speaks for itself, so this recognition comes as no surprise. We are grateful to have him as part of our staff." The Ambassadors finished the season 2-7, falling to Paul Quinn College 5-1 Tuesday night in the 2025 HBCUAC Soccer Championship at Lee Hedges Stadium.
