Norfolk State director of cross country/track and field programs Kenneth Giles added Brian Triolet and Regan Kimtai to his coaching staff earlier this week. Triolet comes to NSU with 17 years of coaching experience, primarily working with pole vaulters. He has produced multiple district/conference champions, including the boys and girls beach district indoor and outdoor record holders. He also boasts a long list of state-qualifying vaulters who have won state championships. Triolet has served as a volunteer pole vault coach at Norfolk State since 2009. During this time, he mentored Spartan school record holder Brett Dodd. "Brian Triolet is a championship coach that takes student-athletes where they want to go," Giles said. "His addition to the program will help take our student-athletes to not necessarily where they want to go, but where they should be." Trolet holds a bachelor's degree in biology from Old Dominion University.
