NORFOLK,VA -- Norfolk State defeated South Carolina State 81-55 in Game 1 of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Tournament at the Norfolk Scope Arena. Kierra Wheeler led the Spartans with 20 points and five rebounds, while Diamond Johnson added 18 points and eight rebounds. Angie Juste Jean paced the Bulldogs with 20 points and two assists, but Norfolk State's offensive firepower proved too much. Story to come as the Spartans advance to the next round.
