MURRAY, WILEY NAMED OAKWOOD'S CO-PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Kamaria Murray and Alexis Wiley have been named Oakwood University's Co-Players of the Week for the week of September 22-28.   Murray and Wiley came up big last week in helping the Ambassadors go 2-0 last week in wins over LeMoyne-Owen College and Stillman College.   A 5-foot-7 middle hitter from Murfreesboro, Tenn., Murray finished the week with team-highs in kills (31), digs (29) and service aces (6).   She had 19 kills, 22 digs and four aces in a 3-1 win over NCAA Division II foe LeMoyne-Owen College last Monday. Murray up that effort Thursday with 12 kills, seven digs and two aces in a 3-1 win over HBCUAC rival Stillman College.   Wiley, a 5-2 junior setter from Sachse, Texas, finished the week with 31 assists, 27 digs and five aces.   She had 15 assists, 12 digs and four aces in the win over LeMoyne-Owen College. Wiley followed up that effort with 16 assists, 15 digs and an ace in the win over Stillman College.   Murray and Wiley will be back in action today when Oakwood hosts Welch College inside Ashby Auditorium.
