Fuquay-Varina, NC - North Carolina Central Eagles running back Chris Mosley has been named HBCU National Player of the Week. Mosley, a redshirt-senior from Forth Worth, Texas, carried the ball 15 times for 174 yards and ran for a touchdown as the Eagles defeated Southern 31-14 in the MEAC/SWAC Challenge on Saturday. He averaged 11.6 yards per carry and with the Eagles down 14-10 late in the second quarter, his 49-yard touchdown run proved to be the game-winning touchdown, at that time giving NCCU the 17-14 lead.
