Mercy Trio Earns Major Awards, Miranto (DAE) and Muñoz (MOL) Repeat as 2025 ECC Women’s Soccer All-Conference Honors Announced

Defensive Player of the Year Hanks played 1,512 minutes in 17 starts as the leader of Mercy’s defensive core. The junior played 12 full matches and anchored the Mavs to eight clean sheets on the season while dishing out three assists out of the back, against Goldey Beacom, Wilmington, and Holy Family. Hanks led the Mavericks to a 47.1 shutout percentage, which ties for tops in the ECC. Muñoz repeats as the ECC Goalkeeper of the Year after going 11-2-4 overall and 4-0-3 in conference play, playing all 1513:26 in net for the Lions, which ranks eighth nationally. The Molloy junior topped the ECC in goals against average for the second year in a row (71.4) and tied for the conference lead in shutouts, with eight. Muñoz posted seven or more saves in seven matches, including a season-high 14 in a 2-1 regional win over Pace, 13 in a 2-2 draw with Mercy, and nine in a 2-1 win over Daemen.  After leading his Mavericks to their fourth ECC Regular Season Championship in program history, Nicholson was the unanimous selection for ECC Coach of the Year. Mercy finished with a 13-2-2 overall record and an undefeated 5-0-2 mark in conference play to earn the No. 1 seed heading into the ECC Championship.
