Upland, Indiana - The men's and women's track and field teams traveled to Upland, Indiana to compete in the Trojan Relays. Where there were 10 first-place finishers and 9 more in the top 3. On a 14-team competition field. In the men's events, Jeremiah Cadet, with a strong finish in the 60m dash, finished in first place with a time of 6.92, marking his personal best. Demari Johnson finished 1st in the 200m dash with a time of 22.60 and in his first 400m appearance of the indoor season with a time of 51.48. In the women's events, Skye Livingston won the 60m with a time of 7.87, with another personal best. Jurnie Hemsley winning the 400m with a time of 59.72, marking her personal best. Amarianna Lofton won the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.76 marking a personal best and putting her at number 22 on the NCAA list for the event. Also winning high jump with a leap of 1.65m. All three relays won the meet. The men's 4x4 consisting of Demari Johnson, Juwan Rigby, Myles Lacking, and Jae-Lijah Cochren ran a time of 3:27.58, the women's 4x4 consisted of Jaylin Bradshaw, Ciara Valentine, Amarianna Lofton, and Jasmine Williams to run a time of 4:06.11 Top 3 Finishers: Rennie Gittens Jr: 2 nd Place in the 60m dash (6.98) Jae-Lijah Cochran: 2 nd place in the 200m dash (22.81) and 2 nd Place in the 400m dash (51.67) Myles Lacking 3 rd place in the 200m dash (23.09) Jevon Warren 2 nd place in the High Jump (1.87m) Nathaniel McHardy 3 rd place in the Shot Put (14.24m) Michael Addison 2 nd place in the 200m (26.68) Jaylin Bradshaw 2 nd place in the 400m (59.75) Jasmine Williams 3rd place in the 400m (1:00.25) Darcey Dorris 3 rd Place in the Shot Put (11.25m) The Marauders will be back on the road February 2nd, 2024, to compete at Cedarville University. Field events begin at 3:30 PM and running events will begin at 4:00 PM. Please go support the Marauders as they are two meets away from their first indoor conference meet on February 19th, 2024.
