MACK HOMERS, THREE OTHER AMBASSADORS RECORD HITS AGAINST TENNESSEE SOUTHERN

PULASKI, Tenn. – Joshua Mack hit his first career home run in the fifth inning and three other players recorded hits on the day, but it wasn't enough as Tennessee Southern downed Oakwood University 21-3 Tuesday afternoon in a non-conference baseball game at Bobby Walker Field. Mack's solo shot in the fifth pulled the Ambassadors within 20-3. Oakwood pushed across a pair of runs in the third inning, one on an RBI ground out by Jordan Jennings that scored Dakota Cobb to make it 8-1 and another one on a throwing error that allowed Matthew Gutierrez Dalrymple to score to make it 8-2. Jennings, Jeremy Matos and Derrick Sanders also recorded hits for the Ambassadors on the day. Akari David (0-2) took the loss, allowing six runs, all earned, on four hits in 1.1 innings. He walked four and struck out two. Oakwood fell to 0-13 on the season. Tennessee Southern improved to 8-12. Oakwood will host Southern University of New Orleans Thursday in an HBCU Athletic Conference doubleheader at John Hunt Park.
