NORWOOD, Ohio – Joshua Mack had his best series in an Oakwood University uniform, going 6-for-12 with two RBI and scored three runs, but Wilberforce University swept all three games Tuesday and Wednesday in HBCU Athletic Conference action at Gendell Family Field. The Bulldogs downed the Ambassadors 13-3 and 27-12 on Tuesday before taking the final game of the series 17-1 on Wednesday. Oakwood fell to 2-30 overall and 2-19 in league play. Game 1 The Ambassadors trailed just 4-2 midway through the second inning, but the Bulldogs scored nine runs over the next five innings to win going away. Mack was 2-for-4 with an RBI. Jordan Jennings, Kyler Bradley and Ahmad Woods had one hit apiece for Oakwood. Dakota Cobb (0-5) took the loss, allowing 11 runs, eight earned, on 10 hits in three innings. He walked two and struck out two. Game 2 Mack was 4-for-5 with an RBI double and scored three runs, while Jorge Hernandez was 3-for-4, including a pair of doubles, with three RBI and scored two runs. Tedrus Hamilton was 2-for-3, including a 3-run homer, his first of the season, in the fourth inning. He also scored two runs. Woods and Treyvon Jones also had a hit each. Wilberforce built a commanding 19-1 lead after two innings and cruised the rest of the way. Eli Kennedy (0-6) took the loss, allowing five runs, four earned, on three hits in one inning. He walked two and struck out two. Game 3 Kyler Bradley and Jordan Jennings accounted for Oakwood's three hits in the series finale Wednesday. Bradley went 2-for-3, while Jennings was 1-for-3 with an RBI, accounting for Oakwood's lone run. Anthony Brent Jr. (1-2) took the loss, allowing nine runs, seven earned, on seven hits in 3.2 innings.
