Raleigh, NC. – The Saint Augustine's women's basketball team held off a feisty Claflin University team as the home crowd provided much needed sixth-man energy. The Lady Falcons got out to a very strong start and led by 13 at the half (39-26). Things got interesting in the fourth quarter at the Panther ripped off a 14-1 run to bring the Lady Falcons lead to one (56-55). After the Panthers gained the lead late, Ariyanna Brown, who was hot all night from 3, nailed a clutch 3-pointer to regain the lead with 2:17, and the Lady Falcons held on at home. SAU is now 6-10 on the season, and 2-6 in conference play.
