Lincoln, PA. – The Saint Augustine's women's basketball team lost its fourth loss in a row against the Lincoln University Lions. The Lady Falcons trailed from the onset until the final buzzer. The Lady Lions started the game red-hot putting up 25 points in the first quarter. The Lady Falcons poised themselves in the second quarter keeping the contest within reach only down 14 at the half (37-23). After a better second quarter output, the Lady Falcons struggled again in the third giving up two separate runs to start and end the quarter. However, things became very interesting in the fourth. After having a tough three quarters in finding offense, the Lady Falcons found it in the fourth, primarily with the exceptional play of sophomore Forward, Taniyah Greene. Trailing 54-36, SAU forced turnovers, and played hard-nosed half court defense to close the gap to three. Greene scored 16 of her game-high 29 in the fourth quarter. Unfortunately for the Lady Falcons, their comeback attempt fell short, and Lincoln University sealed the win 62-57.
