HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Saniya Keys, a 6-0 sophomore center/forward from Cottonwood, has been named Oakwood University's Athlete of the Week for the week ending Dec. 8. Keys averaged 22.5 points and 11.5 rebounds last week in leading the Ambassadors to a pair of key wins. She had 19 points and five rebounds in an 83-73 win over Wilberforce University on Thursday in an HBCU Athletic Conference game. Keys followed up that effort with 26 points and 18 rebounds in a 79-74 victory at Washington Adventist University on Sunday. Keys shot 58 percent (18-of-31) from the field and had two assists, two steals and a block.
