HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Saniya Keys, a 6-0 freshman center/forward from Cottonwood, has been named Oakwood University's Player of the Week sponsored by Zaxby's. In two games during the week of February 10-16, Keys averaged 25.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game, while shooting 62.5 percent (20-of-32) from the field. She also had three blocks and a steal while playing almost 30 minutes per game. Keys had 32 points and 11 rebounds on Wednesday in a 72-65 win over Voorhees University. She was 12-of-20 from the field, 8-of-11 from the free throw line and had three blocks. The leading candidate for HBCU Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year, Keys scored 19 points and grabbed 4 rebounds Saturday in a 69-57 loss to Voorhees.
