HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Jorge Hernandez, Jordan Howard and Anna Jones have been named Oakwood University's Players of the Week sponsored by Zaxby's. Hernandez, Howard and Jones were honored for their performances from March 24-30. Hernandez, a junior outfielder/pitcher for the Ambassadors, batted .500, going 5-for-10, including a three-run homer against Tennessee Southern on Tuesday. He also had a game-winning hit in a 7-6 walk off victory against Philander Smith to help Oakwood snap its 23-game losing streak. In three games, Hernandez scored four runs and had five RBI. Howard, a freshman infielder on Oakwood's softball team, batted .562, going 9-for-16, scored six runs and had four RBI. Jones, a junior catcher on the Ambassadors' softball team, batted .600, going 9-for-15, scored four runs and had four RBI.
