WILSON, N.C. – The Chowan University volleyball team fought hard in a five-set match against conference opponent Barton College on Tuesday evening. The Bulldogs took the first two sets before Chowan responded by winning the next two to even the score. However, the Hawks comeback fell short in the decisive fifth set, resulting in a 3-2 defeat to Barton. With the setback, Chowan sits at 2-12 overall and 1-5 in conference play, while Barton improves to 5-8 overall and 2-4 in the league.
