FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The Chowan University women's basketball team fell to non-conference opponent Fayetteville State University on Monday evening. Aquarius Pettaway recorded a season-high, while Alexandria James-Fearon also reached double figures to pace the Hawks offensively. Chowan opened the game with an early advantage, capitalizing on a seven-minute scoring drought by the Broncos in the first quarter. Fayetteville State responded coming out of the half as the Hawks were unable to keep the momentum they built in the opening quarters. With Monday's result, Chowan moves to 3-4 overall and remains 1-2 in conference play.
