However, a lightning delay followed by a heavy downpour caused the contest to go no further and the score reverted back to the previous frame, giving Lincoln an unorthodox victory. The Orange and Blue gave its five seniors, Josiah Bowles (Plant City, Fla./Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy), DeAndre Bowens (Rock Hill, N.Y./Monticello), Sheldon Johnson (Pittsburgh, Penn./Woodland Hills), Leon McKnight (Philadelphia, Penn./Sankofa Freedom Academy Charter), and Drew Darby (Union, N.J./Union), a victorious send off in their last home game for the first time since defeating Bridgeport in the finale on May 4, 2019 (7-4).
