WINSTON-SALEM, NC - Fayetteville State University racked up 185 points to claim the 2023 CIAA Women's Indoor Track & Field Championships and a third consecutive title at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, North Carolina on Monday. The last women's team to earn three consecutive league titles was Saint Augustine's when it won 14 straight from 1997 to 2010. M'Smyra Seward, the CIAA Indoor Field Athlete of the Year, captured the triple jump (12.03m, 39-5.75) and the long jump (5.97m, 19-7) titles. She finished second in the high jump (1.61m, 5-3.25). Seward scored a total of 28 points for the Broncos. Head Coach Inez Turner was chosen as the CIAA Women's Coach of the Year.
