Bowler of the Week Freshman | Boardman, Ohio Marissa Funk delivered an impressive performance in her first career meet, narrowly missing out on the NJ Open’s MVP. She achieved a total pinfall of 1,035 in traditional bowling with an average of 207. On the first day of traditional play, Marissa recorded games of 244 (her high game), 234, 220, 182, and 155. Her performance was marked by a 90% single pin spare percentage and a 47.4% strike percentage. Rookie of the Week Freshman | Auburn, NY Caroline had a 16.92 first ball average, 38% strike rate, and 18.6 tenth frame average during traditional play. She also doubled at 47.4% during baker play. Over the weekend at the 2025 Chelsea Gilliam Penguin Classic, Caroline finished 55th in the individual standings out of 136 bowlers and averaged 169.20. ECC Weekly Honor Roll Sophomore | Fort Loramie, Ohio In the opening weekend for the Hawks, Hess helped lead the team to two 3-win weekends over the weekend at the 2025 Chelsea Gilliam Penguin Classic hosted by Youngstown State. Hess led the way for the Hawks with a strong individual performance, finishing 33rd out of 136 bowlers in the individual standings and posting the highest average score for the team with a 194.40 across five matches. Hess had a 19.44 first-ball average during traditional play. She trucked at 54% during traditional play while double striking 52.9% during baker play.
