ECC Men's Volleyball Report - Week Six

Player of the Week Sophomore | OH/OPP | Belo Horizonte, Brazil Vieira recorded 41 kills, two assists, two service aces, 17 digs, and six blocks (1 solo, 5 assisted) over two match victories in eight total sets against Division I LIU, 3-2, and ECC foe Roberts Wesleyan, 3-0, last week. The STAC sophomore outside hitter/opposite hitter also held a .366 hitting percentage in that span. Defensive Player of the Week Freshman | Libero | Aktau, Kazakhstan Todorov recorded 14 digs and six assists over eight total sets in wins over LIU and Roberts Wesleyan last week.  Setter of the Week Junior | S | Congonhas, Brazil Franck totaled six kills, 66 assists (8.25 assists per set), two service aces, and 11 digs over two match victories in eight total sets against LIU and Roberts Wesleyan this past week. Rookie of the Week Freshman | OPP/S | Oldenburg, Germany Freude recorded 14 kills, two assists, seven digs, and seven blocks (3 solo, 4 assisted) over two match victories in eight total sets against LIU and Roberts Wesleyan last week. The STAC freshman opposite hitter/setter also held a .231 hitting percentage in that span. ECC Weekly Honor Roll Freshman | S | Shorewood, IL Brouwer was the bright spot for Roberts Wesleyan in a 0-3 week as he handed out 64 total assists in nine sets (7.11/set). The RWU freshman setter had a match-high 25 assists in the ECC match at St. Thomas Aquinas. Brouwer added eight digs, six kills and a pair of aces in the three matches. Redshirt Freshman | OH | Old Bridge, NJ In a 1-1 week, Krapf tallied 34 kills and a .288 attack percentage. In the 3-2 win over SFU on Friday night, the Dominican redshirt freshman outside hitter records 20 kills and a .349 attack percentage with five digs and two block assists. He followed up with a team-high 14 kills and 10 digs in a 3-1 loss to the Red Flash the following night. Freshman | S | Miami, FL Toste tallied 34 assists and six digs in a 3-2 victory over SFU on Friday night and followed with 35 assists and three digs in a 3-1 loss to the Red Flash on Saturday night.
