ECC Men's Tennis Report - Week Two

Player of the Week Sophomore | Cambridge, England Newman defeated Division I Lafayette's top player Arman Ganchi to a score of 6-3, 6-4 to earn a No. 1 singles win for STAC. The ECC Preseason Player of the Year also defeated the No. 1 doubles pair of Nick McKenzie and Arman Ganchi with partner Henry Ronnberg, 6-3.  Rookie of the Week Freshman | Malmo, Sweden Tauson defeated Lafayette's No. 3 doubles pair of Derrin Lerner and William Woolley with partner Ondrej Sramek, 6-1.  Honor Roll Sophomore | Pawling, NY Brightman made his Knights’ debut at No. 6 singles and picked up his first singles victory, defeating Long Island University’s Felix Abraham in straight sets to the score of 6-2, 6-4.  Junior | Saint-Remy-de-Provence, France Martin-Gibiard recorded an unbeaten day against Division I Long Island University on Friday afternoon, winning at No. 2 doubles and No. 5 singles.
