Defensive Player of the Week Freshman | LSM | Plainview, NY Lamere had a team-high seven caused turnovers to go with nine ground balls as Mercy went 1-1 on the week. The freshman opened the week with a game-high three caused turnovers to go with five ground balls in Mercy's win at Georgian Court on Tuesday and ended the week with a game-high four caused turnovers to go with four ground balls against No. 10/14 Bentley on Sunday. Rookie of the Week Freshman | GK | Webster, NY Berns went the distance in net and backstopped the Saints to a 1-0 week, making 15 saves in DYU’s 12-11 win over Walsh. The freshman goalkeeper made nine first-half saves, including eight in the first quarter to set the tone. This is the second-consecutive game in which Berns has made 15 or more saves. ECC Weekly Honor Roll Freshman | GK | Shaftsbury, VT Brimmer played the final quarter of the 17-1 win at Emory & Henry on Monday and racked up a team-leading eight saves without allowing a goal. Sophomore | A | Geneva, NY Brown led the Roberts Wesleyan offense in a 17-1 at Emory & Henry in the lone game of the week for the Redhawks due to weather. He recorded six points on four goals and two assists in the win. The sophomore had four total goals all of last year. Junior | A | West Islip, NY Corcoron totaled six points on the week for the Lions, including matching a career-high five points on four goals and an assist at No. 6 Pace. Corcoron also picked up three ground balls on the week, two of which came against the Setters. Senior | FO | Saratoga Springs, NY Dort won 12 of his 14 face-off attempts (85.7 percent) and added six ground balls and a goal in Frostburg State’s loss to Walsh. Freshman | A | Waterloo, Ontario Hunsberger posted six points on two goals and four assists to go with four ground balls and two caused turnovers as Mercy went 1-1 on the week. Freshman | A | Vancouver, British Columbia Mullen totaled a team high three goals on three shots on goal and added an assist in STAC's season-opening match, a 22-4 loss to the defending Division II National Champions, Adelphi. Junior | FO | Holtsville, NY Pazienza continued to excel at the face-off dot this week, winning at a clip of 72.7 percent (24-of-33) with seven ground balls to lead the Lions to a 1-1 week. In Molloy’s 20-3 win over Dominican, the junior face-off specialist went 12-of-15 from the X with four ground balls and added a goal. Against No. 6 Pace, Pazienza went 12-of-18 from the X with three ground balls. Sophomore | A | Irving, NY In DYU’s 12-11 win over Walsh last week, Tallchief converted on 75 percent of his shots on goal, finding the back of the net six times. Senior | FO | Easton, MD Walstrum won all 10 of his face-offs in Frostburg State’s loss to Walsh, adding nine ground balls and an assist.
