ECC Lands 21 Soccer Student-Athletes on Men’s and Women’s All-Region Teams

COLONIA, N.J. – The East Coast Conference had 21 men's soccer (six) and women's soccer (15) players named to the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) and United Soccer Coaches (USC) All-East Region teams, which were finalized on December 9.  Queens led all ECC men's soccer programs with four players selected to the All-Region teams, while Molloy and Roberts Wesleyan had one selection apiece. Queens freshman forward Bradyn Brown (ECC Rookie of the Year), Queens junior midfielder Andrew Johnson (ECC First Team), Queens junior back Tommy Wagner (ECC Defensive Player of the Year), and Molloy senior forward Danu Kinsella Bishop (ECC Offensive Player of the Year) earned spots on the D2CCA First Team while Queens senior forward Miguel Soto Gonzalez (ECC First Team) and Roberts Wesleyan junior forward Archie Murphy (ECC Second Team) landed on both the D2CCA and USC Second Teams.  Mercy and Molloy led all ECC women’s programs with five players selected to the All-Region Teams, followed by Roberts Wesleyan (3) and Daemen (2).  The Mercy quintet of junior back Sarah Lill Hanks (ECC Defensive Player of the Year), senior forward Ancksu Dixon (ECC First Team), freshman midfielder Camila Salvador (ECC First Team), freshman back Casey Szczotka (ECC Rookie of the Year), and sophomore forward Hailey Metzger (ECC Second Team), the Molloy All-ECC First Team trio of junior midfielder Isabella Muro, sophomore midfielder Jana Strait, and sophomore back Meghan Wetzel, and Daemen senior forward Kylie Miranto (ECC Offensive Player of the Year) earned spots on both All-Region Teams.  Molloy junior goalkeeper Elyse Muñoz (ECC Goalkeeper of the Year) garnered a D2CCA nod while the All-ECC Second Team selections of sophomore forward Mackenzie Hagen, senior midfielder Kara Choate, and senior back Cami Brescia out of Roberts Wesleyan, senior midfielder Emma Beattie out of Molloy, and senior goalkeeper Becca Schultz out of Daemen earned spots on the USC Teams.
