The 2024 Ohio Valley Conference Indoor Track and Field Championship started strong with the first medal awarded after a record-breaking performance. Parker Feuerborn opened the day by setting a new OVC Championship mark in the weight throw with a distance of 23.38m (76’8.50”). The graduate student broke the previous mark of 21.31m, which he set at last year’s Championship. The toss ranks as the third best mark in the nation.
