All (5) DSU Hornet women made their NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Cross Country Championship debuts in Bethlehem, Pa. Freshman Rebecca Jansen covered the hilly 3.73 mile 6k course in (23:16), good for 3rd on the DSU All-Time list. Mileah Cotton ran (23:45) dropping into 4th place on the all-time list. Also competing for the Hornets and gaining valuable experience on the biggest stage in their young careers were Anezka Seifertová (24:09), Ilianna Surowiec (25:32) and Leilani Gibson (25:59). The future outlook for the youthful Hornets at the NCAA Championships is bright with all the women returning next year with personal improvements and more good distance runners added to the team.
