HOPKINGTON, N.H. – The Roberts Wesleyan men's cross country squad placed second at the 2025 NCAA Division II East Regional Cross Country Championships, held at the Hopkinton Fairgrounds in Hopkinton, N.H. on Saturday morning. As one of the top three team finishers, Roberts Wesleyan earned one of the meet's three AQs for the upcoming 2025 NCAA Cross Country Championships, to be held at the Wayne E Dannehl National Cross Country Course in Kenosha, Wisc. on November 22. This will mark the RWU men's cross country program's fourth consecutive appearance at the national meet. COMPLETE RESULTS ECC runner-up Trevor Heitkamp led the way for the Redhawks, completing the 10k course in 32:19.3. The Redhawks finished with 106 points, trailing only to first-place Southern Connecticut State (34 points). Roberts Wesleyan's Jakob Zibbel finished 11th (32:36.0), followed by Vincent Ciraolo (23rd, 33:17.3), Joel Amstutz (28th, 33:32.7), and Aiden McDonald (39th, 3:56.0). ECC champion CJ Johnson of Daemen turned in the fastest ECC performance on the day, placing seventh with a time of 32:18.9.
