Lawson State Cougars defeat Calhoun Community College 66-61 in Decatur, Alabama. Calhoun outscored Lawson 33-32 in the first half. Lawson came out firing on the defensive end in the second half holding Calhoun without a field goal until the 15 minute mark. During this time Lawson went on an 8-0 run only to have the lead cut down. The game was back and forth until Lawson secured a 5 point lead with 2 minutes remaining. Lawson outscored Calhoun 34-28 in the second half. Lawson was led in scoring by Michael Jacobs and Javion Belle-McCrary with 15 and 12 points respectively. JaDerryus Eatmon scored 8 points and pulled down 11 rebounds and Kewaski Jackson chipped in with 9 points. Jackson also had 6 assists in the contest.
