The University of the Virgin Islands Women’s Basketball Team could not complete the rally and the College of Coastal Georgia held on for a 69-64 win over the visiting Buccaneers Sunday afternoon. With 4:28 left to play, an Amber Appiah-Kubi basket had cut the deficit to 63-59 but the Mariners made enough shots and played enough defense down the stretch to claim the victory.
