GREENWOOD, S.C. – Chowan Volleyball opened play at the Redderson Invitational on Friday with a split, earning their first win of the season in a 3-0 sweep over Winston-Salem State before falling to host Lander later in the day. With the results, the Hawks move to 1-5 on the year, while WSSU drops to 0-2 and Lander improves to 3-2. Chowan will return to action on Saturday for day two of the tournament, aiming to build momentum with a pair of victories.
