RICHMOND, Va. (Feb. 9, 2024) – For those new to CAA Women’s Basketball, Friday may have come as a surprise, but many know it’s just the norm around here. The top two teams in the conference standings fell on Friday, and the three teams – Charleston, Monmouth and William & Mary – tied for third won, creating a scenario where the top five teams in the league are separated by just 1.0 game. The Cougars defeated North Carolina A&T, who remained in a tie for first with Stony Brook, following the Seawolves’ setback to Towson. Monmouth and W&M earned road victories, defeating Northeastern and Delaware, respectively. In addition, Campbell and Elon were victorious.
