RICHMOND, Va. (Aug. 28, 2023) – The CAA has announced its first volleyball weekly award winners following the opening weekend of the 2023 season. North Carolina A&T junior outside hitter Naiya Sawtelle earned CAA Offensive Player of the Week honors and Towson redshirt junior outside hitter Irbe Lazda received CAA Defensive Player of the Week accolades. In addition, Hofstra freshman outside hitter Beatriz Braga and Delaware redshirt freshman middle blocker Asia Murray shared CAA Co-Rookie of the Week recognition.
