The Radford women's soccer program got back into the win column in a big way Wednesday night defeating USC Upstate 1-0. Ashley Loundermon's goal was the deciding factor in the match, the third game-winner of her career. Lexi Radvanyi was right in the middle of the shutout for the Highlanders with five crucial saves, including a pair in the closing minutes. In a rematch of the 2023 Big South Championship title game, Radford and USC Upstate continued to bring the energy into tonight's match-up. While USC Upstate maintained possession early, it was Radford who got the first shot off from Eileen Albers who had an open look but just missed high. Radford's defense would hold strong on a pair of USC Upstate corner kicks, returning the favor with a pair of their own, before the lone goal of the night came in the 34th minute.
