Gardner-Webb complemented its defense with late offense to close out the Blue Hose Saturday from Clinton, 6-2, to win the series with Presbyterian. The series finale had a defensive start, with neither team scoring for the first four innings. Annicka McLaughlin got things started, however, in the top of the fifth. The freshman infielder hit a triple to left field, and Adrienne Visintine hit a single to put GWU on the board.
